FSG’s new FS-MH line of pedal-actuated transmitters features additional sensor elements that ensure continuous actuation monitoring and error detection, thus increasing safety. Unintentional displacement, i.e. through spring breakage or coarse dirt, is detected and signaled by means of an error signal at the output. Thanks to a simple design, the new pedal-actuated transmitters are very cost-efficient.
Manufactured from aluminum and stainless steel, they are IP67-protected and thereby ideally suited for use under rugged conditions. Typically, they are used as accelerator or brake pedals in excavators. Unactuated, the pedal angle is 33°, while the pedal displacement is 18°. The units are suitable for an extended temperature range (-30 °C...+80 °C). They are based on wear-free, non-contact magnetic measuring systems that provide analog or digital and redundant control signals at the output. If required, FSG will adapt the mounting dimensions of the base plate and the pedal design according to customer requirements.
